The High-School Youth Group from St George’s Hurstville Anglican Church is hosting a sleepout. The aim of this is to grow in our relationships with others, have fun in a safe environment, welcome new people and support a charitable cause.

This year, we are seeking to raise $500 to help homeless people feel loved by God and his people. All our proceeds will go to Mission Australia. Mission Australia exists to meet human need and to spread the knowledge of the love of God. Over 90% of the donations they receive go towards delivering services to assist vulnerable Australians. More information about Mission Australia and how to support our cause can be found here:

We’ll have our usual Friday youth program. Dinner and breakfast will be provided. We’ll watch a G-rated movie. There’ll be options for high-schoolers to play board games, chat and study. The youths will need to bring their own mattress, blankets and toiletries. Our showering facilities are limited. We encourage youths to shower at home. There’ll be SAFE trained and WWCC qualified leaders present. We ask that high-schoolers follow the directions of their leaders. Otherwise they will be asked to leave and their parents will be notified.

Date: Friday, 5th April 2019 (4PM) — Saturday, 6th April 2019 (9AM)

Cost: Minimum $15. This will cover food. Any extra will go towards Mission Australia. We encourage the youths to fundraise to support those less fortunate than themselves.
